Well, a good friend of mine had an awesome day yesterday - for which I am honestly glad! But my day was filled with anticipation and hope followed by disappointment and a little bit of anger... (shame on me) Prior to the kickoff of the "Big Game!", I was sitting on the couch actually shaking with excitement! During the course of the game I was pacing back and forth in front of my new giant tv and screaming along with the fans! (my neighbors now hate me...) At the end of the day, I was faced with disappointment. I'm afraid that I'm a bit of a sore loser (those of you who know me can testify to that.)
I woke up this morning with a sour attitude until God got in my head and started singing "They will know we are Christians by our love, by our love, they will know we are Christians by our love!" Seriously - still can't get it out of my head. So now I'm sitting here at work (on break), wearing my team lanyard with my security badge, and smiling. I was reminded through something as heavenly irrelevant as football, that God's hope does not disappoint me! (Rom 5:5) Thanks God, for the gift of football, for friends, for family, for life!

Emily that is a great way to look at it. I am often reminded that there are very few things in my life that really worth getting upset about. I have to keep myself in checck so many times. I am just glad to be your "Day Is Mine" friend.:)
LOL! That is so funny...every time I get angry in the car and start to have road rage, my wife just sits there and starts singing, "And they will know we are Christians by our love, by our love..."
It's one of the more annoying songs I've heard, mostly because every time she does it, I have to stop yelling at whatever bozo did something completely innocent that happened to irritate me at the wrong moment in time.
Oh, and the Colts will be fine and are still a much, much better team than Chicago.
I hate you Joe.
The truth sometimes hurts, Keith.
Emily, so who are you rooting for...Purdue or Oregon?
Purdue all the way! Boiler up!!
Even from the other side of the world, some things never change!! Do you guys realize how quiet our Sunday school class has been with out you and Joe. We don't even talk about sports. I know, hard to believe, but true. We miss you very much and prayed for you this morning in class, hope your week is full of everything good and that the people there in Oregon will realize what a treasure they have(or should I say STOLE from us.) Take care and not so much football, all that stress can give you wrinkles :)
Love ya!!!!!
Heather
